Black and White Conversion Techniques (PS and PE)

Introduction

The July SIG only had time to show one or two ways of converting colour images to Black and White. Method 1 -Black and White Layer Adjustment (Non-destructive)

(1) Click on Layer/Mode/Greyscale as shown below.

Method 2 – Convert to Greyscale (Really Destructive)

(1) Click on Image/Mode/Greyscale as shown below.

Method 3 – Saturation/Hue Layer Adjustment (Non-destructive)

Method 4- LAB Colour Method (Another really destructive way)

(1) Similar to Method 2 using Grey scale, This time click on Image/Mode/Lab Colour as shown below.
